Sign Up To Donate Blood Or Volunteer

PLEASE NOTE: We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow for parking and event check-in.

WALK-IN: We strongly encourage appointments, but we know that is not always possible. You can walk-in from 7:30 am to 2:15 pm.

COMING WITH CHILDREN? We have a supervised kid craft area in the same room you donate so that your kiddos can do a fun activity with teen helpers while you are busy saving lives – all while never leaving your sight!

Blood Donor & Volunteer Gifts

All of our blood donors and volunteers get ten tickets to our annual “Thank You Drawing” full of tens of thousands of dollars in prizes. Since we are only trying to save lives – not raise money – we do NOT sell tickets. The only way to be a part of winning these amazing prizes is by being a blood donor or volunteer!

In addition to the raffle tickets, thanks to American Red Cross and their partnership with Amazon, ALL of our blood donors will receive a $20 gift card. Just be sure to register during the health screening with a valid email, as that is how the card will be delivered!

On top of raffle tickets (which are ten tickets PER SHIFT!), all volunteers get a free A Pint For Kim shirt (in NNHS or Chicago Bears colors this year!) as well as a free 18 inch Little Pops pizza! Sign up for multiple shifts to increase your chances at winning the amazing prizes we have lined up!

Blood Donor Swag Bag

Last year we started giving out blood donor swag bags – and this year we have upped the game! The first 700 blood donors will get a drawstring bag with amazing deals and goodies from local businesses and non-profits! For starters, every blood donor will get a no-purchase-necessary free 18 inch Little Pops pizza! Just another way for us to say THANK YOU and to help motivate people to come out and donate blood!

APFK Tumblers in 20 Random Bags!

Other participants include: Azul Bakery, Shutter Town Media, Casey’s Foods, Jen Dean Lovey Camps, Canine Kingdom, Billy Bricks, CPX Pickleball, Innovative Orthodontic Centers, J-fit, Clean Juice, Ally Magee Aerial, Orange Theory Fitness, Mama Bejar Catering, Green Trails Animal Clinic, Delta Fitness, Chick Fil A, Dupage Valley Cheer, Oswald’s Pharmacy, XComp, Females in Action, Small Smiles, Lakewest Custom Homes, Inside Out Club, Kids Equipment Network, Chicagoland and Northern Indiana Girl Scouts, Gonesh Incense, and fun APFK branded items! Location and Parking

CLICK HERE for a map of Naperville North High School’s location!

PARKING: You can park in the north “main” parking lot (entrance off Mill) or the south parking lot (entrance off Mill south of the tennis courts). You will want to avoid the west parking lot (by the football field) as there is construction in that area. Volunteers should park in the main (north) lot as the volunteer check-in desk will be located right inside the main entrance!

ENTERING: Enter through the main front doors (north) or the doors by the performing arts center (south) and our volunteers will let you know where to go!

Schedule of Events

Join The Team Challenge

The team challenge is back again and easier than ever! And Little Pops has generously put no limit on how big the winning party can be! So grab your whole crew! Here’s how to participate:

1- TEAM NAME! You can email apintforkim@gmail.com with a team name OR just tell an APFK volunteer your name the DAY OF the event so they can add it to the board!

2- RECRUIT! Get your friends to join your team! Have them save the date! Or sign up for a spot online!

3- DONATE! On May 9, everyone on your team simply signs in under your team name on the team challenge board after they check-in to donate blood!

4- WIN! Keep an eye on that board May 9. If you are close to the lead, you may want to phone-a-friend (or more) to push you into victory!

Little Pops provides the team who donates the most blood with a pizza party!!

Music Line-Up

We are excited to bring you live entertainment all day once again – always at no cost. This year we will be closing the party with Sparks Fly, the Taylor Swift cover band that sold out Naper Nights! There will be a limited amount of seating under the tent. Feel free to bring your own chairs!

The Hamilton Collection Car Show

The Hamilton Collection will be bringing their entire fleet of cars, which includes some of the fastest and rarest cars in the world. The cars will arrive around 9:00 AM and will depart just after 4:00 PM when the last band ends!

While everyone is welcome to view the cars, blood donors and their families will be given the opportunity to sit in the cars and maybe even start some up! Donating blood is the only way to sit in the cars!

The Hamilton Collection motto is “Driven To Give Back”, and they are committed to never profiting off of this privately-owned collection. They provide unparalleled access to rare vehicles and help raise money for various charities in the process – including being the premiere sponsor of A Pint For Kim. Each month they donate the proceeds from their YouTube channel to a different charity.

Food Truck Line-Up

Check out these amazing vendors who will be serving food throughout the day. Most food trucks require you to put down a deposit for a minimum guarantee, but all of our vendors 100% waive that fee for us! So… please support these amazing restaurants who add so much fun to the day. Even if you only have 15 minutes between sporting events that day and can’t donate blood, feel free to drop in and grab lunch or ice cream!

Thank You Drawing $45,000+ In Prizes

One of the most unique parts of our event is the drawing we have each year with items donated by businesses, families, and other charities. This year, we are once again blown away by this community. We have over 115 donated items worth over $45,000!

Each blood donor gets 10 tickets to the drawing. Double red donors get an extra ten tickets! Volunteers get 10 tickets per shift! This is our added fun incentive to encourage blood donors to come out and save lives and to thank our volunteers who make everything possible!

As an organization that does not raise money, we also do not sell any extra tickets, so you have to donate blood or volunteer to get them. And because we don’t sell any, your odds of winning are really high!

You can see all of this year’s amazing prizes HER

High School Student Only Prizes

We have two special prizes JUST for high school blood donors: a MacBook Neo and Apple Airpods Max.

After checking-in, high school students should look for this table and get their exclusive entry tickets. Be sure to bring a school ID!

Two $1,000 Scholarships

New this year, high school seniors who donate blood will be eligible to win one of two $1,000 scholarships. After checking-in to donate blood, students should present their school ID at the scholarship check-in table. They will be given a notecard and asked to write about why they donate blood and/or give back to their community. The Sandford and Hamilton families will select one winner from Naperville North for the “A Pint For Kim: Blood Donor” Scholarship and one winner from ANY school for “The Hamilton Collection: Driven to Give Back” Scholarship.

Special Healthcare Worker Raffle

Kim’s family wanted to find a special way to thank all the nurses and healthcare workers who take care such amazing care of their patients!

New this year! APFK purchased a $250 gift card to Me Spa. If you are a healthcare worker, find the Spa Day table at check-in, show your ID, and be entered to win this exclusive prize!

$500 Amazon Card Giveaway Open to All

When you get to the event, you will see a QR code in the program and around the venue that will take you to a survey that should take about 5 minutes to fill out.

Doing this is SO HELPFUL to us. It allows us to know where best to focus our efforts and resources when continuing to try to grow.

We will choose one person who filled out the survey – at random – to win a $500 Amazon gift card. You do not need to be a blood donor to participate. We want to know who ALL of our attendees are and why they chose to come to APFK!

It may have a few more questions than your average survey, but your odds at winning a $500 Amazon gift card have never been better!

Inflatable Carnival Games & Fun Zones

We are back with tons of inflatable games and yard games to play!

As always, all activities are totally free and never require tickets!

You can also stop by the Wheel Dawgs tent for face painting and fun temporary tattoos!

And new this year: MBrace will have a bracelet making station set up next to Wheel Dawgs where you can make free custom bracelets!

Free Caricature Drawings

To add to the fun this year, A Pint For Kim has hired not one but TWO caricature artists who will be on sight providing fun fast custom drawings at no cost!

Our first artist will be drawing from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the interior party room.

Our second artist will be drawing from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. under the food and band tent

Edward Hospital Therapy Dogs

Kim and Angel February 2020

The Edward Hospital therapy dogs were such a bright spot during Kim’s days in the hospital. No matter how icky she felt, she would get down out of bed to snuggle the pups!

We love having these pups and their volunteer parents at the event. It is a fan favorite for sure (or at least it is for Kim’s sister, Kristyn)!

You can find these lovable puppers roaming the halls and the party throughout the day! Be sure to stop and tell them what a good doggy they are being!!

Kid Craft Area While You Donate Blood

Have youngsters? We have you covered!

Inside the school in the same room where donors will be donating blood, tables will be set up with kids’ crafts, coloring books, and a Mother’s Day card-making station.

Teen volunteers will supervise kids so parents are able to donate blood while still being able to see where their children are and what they are doing!

APFK Merchandise Flash Sale

After Kim passed away, her sisters found this written on the first page of the journal on her nightstand. With all Kim went through for eight years, she still remained focused on others. We hope that her words can inspire all who wear them and all who read them. Wearing A Pint For Kim items also helps us spread the word about blood donation. Samples of handwriting items and Naperville North / APFK items will be on display at the event in the interior party room; you can place your order that day and they will be ready in June!

Vendor Row

Our Vendor Row is back again this year. An amazing group of businesses, charities, and the Naperville North High School Wheel Dawgs Volunteer Group will be setting up a row of tents. Each group will either be giving away something fun or will be setting up a neat activity! Just like everything at our A Pint For Kim event, this section is completely free! We simply hope to add more fun to the day to continue to attract more and more blood donors every year!

Please use #apintforkim when posting any photos online so we can see your smiling faces, and so others can follow the movement!

2026 Event Sponsors

Click HERE to see the individuals, families, charities, and businesses who have made this day possible. Additionally, you can see our sponsors and raffle donors from EVERY single previous year HERE!

As a volunteer run organization that does not do any fundraising throughout the year, we could not be where we are without every single person who has helped us, and so it is our honor to permanently list each and every single one of them on our website. We hope you will take a look and support them in any way you can.

APFK Nationwide

We have learned so much over the years of throwing our blood drive. We now want to take what we have learned and help other families who have experienced loss create their own annual memorial drives.

Our partnership with American Red Cross allows us to easily help the family set up the logistics of the blood drive. We then work with them to find ways to personalize the blood drive in ways that reflect their loved one.

Our first event is “A Pint For Christian” at the Petersen Automobile Museum in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

You can read more about our nationwide efforts HERE!

APFK Gives Back

We never imagined what A Pint For Kim has grown in to, but it is not surprising given how amazing this community is. Because we are not an organization that raises money, and our mission is to just raise awareness that the largest use of donated blood goes to cancer patients, any sponsorship money that is not used for the May event goes back into the community! You can read about all the ways we give back to the Naperville area HERE!

An Easy Way To Spread The Word

Thank you to everyone who plays any part in helping APFK be what it is today!

APFK and American Red Cross

In 2025, A Pint For Kim partnered with American Red Cross to allow for nationwide expansion. Red Cross also hosts the largest college blood drive – at MIZZOU! Kim’s boys will both be at the University of Missouri starting in Fall 2026, and so APFK is looking forward to working with this great blood drive!

This partnership also enables us to have the resources we need to go for the national one-day blood drive for our tenth anniversary! To set up a blood drive with Red Cross, CLICK HERE.
