More Than A Blood Drive: A Movement & A Commitment To Our Community
We have only grown through the incredible support of our community, and that is why we started finding ways to give back!
We have done this through sponsoring organizations (like Naperville Little League!), sponsoring neighborhoods (like Huntington and Saybrook!), sponsoring all of the various Naperville North Boosters events (trivia, golf, fashion show, football parking permits!) as a thank you to the school for hosting our event, sponsoring other charities that fit with our mission (Pierce Foundation!), sponsoring events held by other organizations (like Walk for Charlie!), creating raffle prizes for as many fundraisers as we can (like Gail Neirmeyer’s Walk in the Woods), donating t-shirts to the sports teams Kim’s boys played on (football and water polo), providing pink socks to all football players for Breast Cancer Awareness month, donating to numerous fundraisers (like Polar Plunge!), and so much more!
When we can’t support financially, we also use our platform to help spread information about other important causes!
How do we do this? Because A Pint For Kim is a 100% volunteer organization that does not fundraise throughout the year, any sponsorship money we get for the annual May event that is not spent on the day goes right back to the community in these ways!! Also, instead of traditional advertising purchases, we choose to sponsor other organizations as a way to spread the “A Pint For Kim” name – our win-win marketing approach!
At our 7th Annual APFK Blood Drive & Festival, we are launching another way to give back: we will be offering two $1,000 scholarships to high school senior blood donors!
